On April 17, 2016 a group of people gathered in a dance studio to begin the journey of launching a new church in Bradley, Illinois. We would spend the next 6 months in what has become affectionately known as the “bag chair days” because everyone had to bring their own chair. We gathered to pray, study, and dream about what God was calling us to be and do.
What emerged from that season was a church that is committed to living out their faith one day at a time, seven days a week. A church that is learning how to love one another and their city well. It was during this season that we named the church OneSeven Church to reflect the desire for our faith to impact the way we live seven days a week not just Sunday.
The church outgrew the room it was meeting in the dance studio and began to look for a new home. We moved into rented space on Broadway in Bradley on October 16th, 2016 and began to have services. In the years after moving to that location we have seen a number of people discover and deepen their relationship with God and use their gifts and passions to serve both locally and around the world.
In February of 2018, after many conversations and a lot of prayer OneSeven Church merged with Redeeming Grace Chapel. We were excited to welcome these men and women into our church and become one church with this like-minded congregation. We look forward to the future as we continue to follow Christ and invite others to come with us.
